Role Description The Director role at AppZ Makers is a full-time, on-site position based in the Jaffna District. The Director will oversee overall business operations, set strategic direction, and ensure that projects align with company goals and client expectations. Daily responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, guiding product and solution roadmaps, monitoring financial performance, and driving process improvements for efficiency and quality. The Director will foster strong client relationships, represent the company in key partnerships, and support business development initiatives in local and international markets. This role also involves mentoring team members, promoting a collaborative culture, and ensuring that the organization maintains high standards of professionalism and service delivery.Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in IT, software development, or digital solutions organizations, with responsibility for strategic planning and operations.
Strong background in project and product management, including overseeing multiple teams and delivering complex technology solutions.
Solid understanding of web applications, mobile apps, and custom software development processes, with the ability to guide technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in client relationship management, stakeholder communication, and partnership development in local or international markets.
Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, manage budgets, and interpret financial and performance metrics for decision-making.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on quality, reliability, and measurable outcomes.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate diverse teams and promote an inclusive work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience working in or with Sri Lankan or regional markets is beneficial; familiarity with global clients and remote collaboration is a plus.
