A project management professional overseeing the daily, weekly and monthly reporting of several projects. The position will be part of the Delivery Department whose mission is to take into successful completion the approved Programs & Projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
PMO establishes a project governance framework to have a structured approach to govern the programs & projects.
The projects are prioritized and aligned to short- and long-term goals of the business
The programs and portfolios are aligned to operational and strategic objectives.
The stakeholders have access to the right information.
The projects are staying within the planned time and budget.
Resources are utilized in the most efficient manner.
Supervision of risk assessment and mitigation across all projects.
Set policies, regulations, functions, processes, and procedures that define the establishment, management and control of projects, programs or portfolios.
PMO trains and coach employees, in particular project managers, about different techniques and methodologies of Project Management.
It also helps to develop a common project methodology by defining milestones, metrics and KPIs so that everyone speaks the same language.
PMOs also manage and allocate resources effectively across all projects, by managing priorities based on timelines, budgets, resource loads.
Provide templates, tools and software to manage project efforts.
Supervision of Projects Harvesting.
Reuse Project Learning and Knowledge
Overall progress and health of projects
Financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, margins, etc.
Project risks and progress on mitigating these risks
Communicate effectively across all levels, engaging and inspiring at senior levels internally and externally.
Cultural awareness within a multi-cultural Corporate environment
Qualifications and Experience
Certified in at least one PM methodology (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
Knowledge of Agile Project Management
Overall understanding of IT (Architecture, Development, Infrastructure)
