Our Head of Information Security will provide a clear vision and direction for IT, Information and Cyber Security operations. They will be responsible for overseeing a range of technical and process security controls and leading a programme of continuous improvement in response to changing security threats and risk, whilst working in collaboration with colleagues across the company.

The role requires a thorough understanding of the technology underpinning the company’s IT systems, as well as a broad, up-to-date knowledge of information security frameworks, vulnerability management, incident management and response, secure development techniques and approaches, Cyber Security engineering and operations, and management and governance of Cyber risk and Cyber Security controls.

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain a business-aligned Information and Cyber Security strategy and operating model

· Manage, develop, and lead an effective Information Security team that delivers high performing security services and strives for continuous improvement

· Maintain and embed an Information Security Policy and management framework across the company that addresses the needs of the company, its staff, and other key stakeholders in line with relevant legislation and industry standards

· Define and implement an appropriate information security control assurance framework for the company, enforcing compliance with policies and technical controls

· Provide leadership and oversight of effective information and Cyber Security risk management, and maintain governance within the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

· Ensure that information and Cyber Security risks to the company presented through third party suppliers and delivery partners are identified and managed appropriately

· Lead on development and delivery of measures and metrics to support the assessment, reporting and ongoing improvement of the company’s information security posture

· Work closely with internal stakeholders and business units to keep abreast of planned changes to technology, working practices, and business activities that could have an impact on the company’s Information Security or operational risk profile

· Drive and promote an appropriate level of information security culture and awareness across the company

· Security vendor relationship management

Skills and Experience

· Financial services experience is preferable, ideally within a challenger bank or financial technology (‘FinTech’) organisation – Knowledge of banking regulations

· Legal and Regulation compliance – knowledge and experience of key legal and regulatory compliance, e.g. GDPR, SWIFT CSP, PCI DSS

· Supply Chain Risk Management – Knowledge of supplier assurance practices

· Security Architecture – Good knowledge of security architecture principles

· Security Engineering – Strong knowledge of network and security engineering

· Offensive Security – Understanding of offensive security tactics, techniques and procedures

· Project planning, management and delivery skills within the context of a broader cyber security program – 3 - 5 years’ experience

· IT Management – Several years of combined IT and security experience

· ITIL knowledge

· Ideally hold, (or be working toward) a CISM, CISSP or CRISC qualification
