Business Development Manager Required in Dubai

George Thomas is working in partnership with an international player in the Water Treatment Industry.

Our client is actively looking for a Business Development Manager based out of Dubai, to further bolster their business development capabilities in the region.

Inheriting a book of business, the role is a hybrid position involving both farming existing accounts and hunting new business.

Selling Water Chemicals into Industrial and Governmental Customers, the ideal candidate will have prior sector knowledge with an Engineering / Chemistry Degree but this is not essential.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Identifying suitable sales opportunities within the market.
Selling Water Treatment Chemicals.
Retain existing accounts in the GCC region.
Respond to customer needs concerning product recommendations, application and performance.
Conducting service reviews and reports when necessary.
Implement sales strategies.
Maintain a good understanding of the market, customers, competition and developments within a specialized segment in order to leverage sales opportunities.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

Must be currently based in / willing to relocate toUAE with valid right to work documentation.
Over 5 years of sales / account management / business development experience with demonstrated customer service acumen.
Bachelor’s Degree educated as a minimum, preferably within Engineering / Chemistry, but this is not essential.
Must be able to demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain long term client relationships.
Ability to work and travel within assigned territory 50% of time.
Must be an excellent communicator both orally and written inEnglish and Arabic.
Able to understand key business drivers and to have the vision to identify long and short-term market penetration opportunitie
