SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER REQUIRED IN DUBAI

Special Education Teacher required for Learning Center.

Must hold current valid CDA license. Need not apply if incomplete.

Responsibilities

Assess students’ abilities and create teaching plans
Create differentiated resources
Adapt learning materials to students’ needs
Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress
Monitor children’s development and progress
Teach a range of subjects within small groups, whole class and one-to-one
Manage classroom and direct RBT therapists
Prepare students for transition to mainstream
Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems
Support other professionals who work with children with disabilities
Collaborate with the wider school staff

Requirements

An excellent standard of spoken and written English
2 years + experience working within school or center in the UAE
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
Knowledge and experience of ABA
Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities including Autism
Ability to create IEPs
A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Complete CDA licence
BSc/BA in Special Education, Primary Education or Psychology; MSc is a plus

Monthly Salary:8,000 - 11,999 AED
