Job Description

Operational
1. Plans, researches, develops and executes concepts for a variety of projects requiring graphic arts, such as pamphlets, posters, brochures and displays using conventional methods and photography for Trade Shows, Exhibitions and Presentations, implement best International practices and standards
2. Schedules, coordinates and prioritizes the work along with the Graphic Designer, involved in the production of communications projects and provides aesthetic and technical direction
3. Attends project-planning meetings with government authorities, team members, contractors, supervisors and other professionals involved. During the design process, consults and discusses with the applicable members about materials, layout, specifications, budget constraints and product
4. Prepares charts, graphs, signs and maps to designated scale, produces still and animated computer graphic formats for video presentations, edit photographs for promotional purposes using wide range of Media
5. Contributes multimedia and graphic design, to enhance Dubai Customs website, according to new industry trends
6. Contributes and implements the annual strategic and operational plan for the Department and the Section
7. Performa all the assigned tasks from the line manager with reliability, honesty, and discretion
Confidentiality
Maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in line with Dubai Customs information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor in Graphic Design or a closely related field, or certification/licensing in a technical specialty program of at least two years is required.
· Proficiency in QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat etc.Experience:
· Minimum of 3-4 years progressive experience in graphic design, using a computer and conventional methods are required
· Internet design and banner ad creation a bonus
