Role purpose

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage all financial transactions for a group of companies (Legal & Consulting). This role is responsible for the end-to-end accounting process, including month end close, and ensures consistent, accurate and robust financial accounting and tax processes in line with accounting practices and corporate policies.

Senior Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have strong accounting background and be experienced in preparing financial reports.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

The post-holder will:

· Responsible for all accounting transactions recording

· Perform various account reconciliations - receivables, advances, payables, and other related accounts

· Manage processing of journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

· Prepare Balance sheet, Profit/loss statement on monthly basis

· Prepare Cash Flow forecast

· Review Company’s Financial Reports and comply with the Auditor’s requirements for yearly audit of financial transactions and documents.

· Monitor the cash balances of the company’s bank accounts and prepare weekly cash report

· Prepare weekly reporting of Accounts Receivables and monitor advances of various clients.

· Managing bank relationship and ensure timely bank payments for various suppliers

· Prepare quarterly Financial Overview of Turnover and Expenses report

· Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures

· Prepare quarterly VAT Return

· Process payroll

· Prepare Financial Reports for various Related Party companies

Role Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years in a similar role, hands-on experience within all key accounting areas

· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

· Excellent knowledge of UAE VAT

· Hands-on experience with accounting software (Sage50 Accounts UK, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)

· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Efficient and very well organized, being able to meet tight deadlines

· Strong analytical skills

· BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

· Additional finance certification (ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent) will be a strong plus.
