Charterhouse are currently looking to identity a Senior Accountant to join one of our clients whom are positioned within the supply chain and logistics sector.

This role shall take oversight and management of all the financial and accounting statements, whilst also delivering financial reports, in support of management and commercial-based reporting. In conjunction, this Senior Accountant shall be geared towards the overview of areas of accounting policy and procedure; to ensure accurate, timely and robust reporting across P&L, MIS and any financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will also have a direct control of fixed asset schedules linking to areas of inventory analysis, budgeting and demand planning reporting tools. Within this role, there is also a need to develop and introduce areas of analytical-based reporting tools; this links to financial modelling (Excel based) along with the provision of performance reviews across cash flow, profit metrics and working capital.

The client will look to recruit a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a demonstrable capability and track record within a role that transcends both financial accounting and reporting-based responsibilities. The role shall also demand a commercial dimension; whereby the successful candidate can provide detailed and relevant financial insight to the operational and commercial aspects of the business. The client envisages hiring a candidate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience combined with a proven ability to manage senior reporting lines and multiple internal stakeholders. Applicants shall also be required to deliver a solid knowledge of IFRS principles, along with advanced Excel skills, to develop reporting and analytical reporting packs. This role shall be well-suited to candidates coming from a similar industry background or from within a FMCG and/or industrial-based organisation.
