Merchandise Manager Required in Dubai

Key Deliverables:

Procurement, planning and forecasting of products.
Evaluating supplier options according to Brand, Prices & Quality etc. and determining the best choices
Determine customer preferences and forecast consumer trends.
Deliver business buying and sourcing plan in line with the business strategy
Provide a profitable and commercial offering that maximises all sales opportunities and meets goals.

Duties:

Responsible for product assortment planning and sourcing products with the best commercial value
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with suppliers, and negotiate purchase prices and contractual terms with the best on the market.
Develop and implement a business plan to achieve budgeted sales, margin, and inventory targets and drive execution of a plan at the category level.
Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the commercial contracts
Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within stock holding budgeted days.
Develop the right merchandise structure per family and subfamily grouping to optimise sales.
Responsible for looking for “ways” to develop new avenues for promoting the sales
Review the rollup of key departmental commercial information (slow moving/fast moving, low margin/high margin, sales vs trend of stores, high-profit builders / high volume builders, item analysis YTD (year to date) WTD (week to date) etc., item wise shrinkage and wastage analysis etc.) and draw up action plans to mitigate risk and achieve targets
Create planograms and layouts for the store as per customer buying behaviour
Ensure that all brand guidelines and SOP (standard operating procedures) are followed as mentioned in policy manuals

Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in any stream.
Must have min 5 years of experience as a Commercial Manager or Category Manager with an understanding of merchandising principles
Experience in FMCG retail desired in the GCC region
Demonstrated track record of successfully growing a business by developing and executing plans
Experienced in managing external supplier relationships
