Junior Accountant - Dubai

Job Overview:
Mettpay DMCC is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates who have hands-on exposure to accounting processes and want to grow in a fintech environment. You will support day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and assist with regulatory filings and month-end activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Post daily accounting entries and ensure timely bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Support VAT preparation and filing by gathering documentation and preparing required schedules.
• Assist with financial reporting by compiling data and helping prepare periodic statements.
• Help manage accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoice processing and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with senior finance staff to streamline processes and ensure accurate record keeping.
Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of accounting experience in the UAE, including internships or traineeships.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT rules and general accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with standard accounting software.
• Attention to detail, good organisational ability, and effective communication skills.
