I.T Help Desk Engineer Required in Dubai

Job Purpose : The primary intent of this role is to provide effective onsite and / or remote technical support for hardware or software issues from end-users of Hayat Biotech supported / approved computer and mobile applications and platforms. The incumbent is also required to troubleshoot problems, advise on appropriate actions and ensure ongoing support to IT / system operations and to other related IT tasks for the business as a whole.

Key Accountabilities :

Serve as the first contact with customers who need technical hardware and / or software assistance via the phone, email or helpdesk, open and review service desk tickets, ensuring appropriate level of information is available, tickets are monitored, tracked, and effectively closed in line with SLAs.
Effectively analyze and solve problems, repair software issues, and networking problems.
Responsible for installation and configuration of hardware / software devices / services.
Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications.
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer server systems, network servers, and virtualization.
Good knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
Create and maintain a knowledge repository for end users on topics such as standard settings / configurations, troubleshooting and FAQs.
Capable of producing architectural diagrams.
Work experience with Microsoft server systems, and software environments.
Good knowledge of Office 365 Platforms, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Security & Compliance Center, OneDrive, Service Health monitoring and actively respond based on system alerts and notifications.
Sets up user access for employees. manages user and network security permissions account and workstations.
Knowledge of system security (e.g. Enpoint Security) and data backup/recovery.
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or Equivalent from a recognized university
Experience with Internet of Things, Cloud data services (Azure, Office365, Google IoT)
· Industry certification in one or more of the following: MCSE, CCNP, CCSA, CISA, CA, CCSP, ISC, ITIL, etc.

Experience and Professional Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years professional experience in IT Support, preferably in a matrix technology organizations.
In-depth understanding of IT governance frameworks, strong knowledge of IT best practices and protocols, operational risk management, and in-depth knowledge and expertise of operations, including IT practices includingIT ticketing systems – specifically with the below
IT Management practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of international IT standards.
IT and Operations Audit methodology
Capable of researching technical issues using external resources, i.e. support forums, vendor documentation

Active Directory User Management
Endpoint Protection
Bitlocker
Linux servers and secure printing
JIRA Service Desk or ServiceNow strong usage experience
Hardware such as computing / cellular devices, printers, cabling
Unix command line and/or Windows PowerShell
Jira / Confluence / Jira Service Desk / ServiceNow
Maintenance of Windows servers and systems
Scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Bash
