CMiC has recently set up a subsidiary located in Dubai and the IT Desktop Support Specialist would be working from the Dubai office.
Job Overview
We are seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist to ensure that our company’s end user systems are maintained and supported. In this role, your duties will include a wide range of tasks, including answering user questions, working with desktop and laptop related issues, help internal customers with applications related tasks, etc.
The IT Desktop Support Specialist will oversee and maintain the company’s computer hardware and software systems with great skills to assist the company in resolving technical issues concerning customer's issues or company software infrastructure. The IT Desktop Support Specialist will also support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work on Salesforce IT internal and IT services tickets to fix Desktop Support related issues
Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients or other employees
Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
Organize and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware
Maintain a working log detailed all required system updates, as well as the date of completion
Create tickets for desktop support requests coming from different sources
Attend in-person and Teams meetings with clients to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems
Work with Vendors and Service Providers to solve issues related to CMiC systems
Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions
Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company
Provision virtual machines in the company’s private cloud, Amazon AWS, Oracle OCI or Microsoft Azure
Build desktops and laptops using company’s checklists and approved standards
Requirements
Industry-specific certification in relevant computer languages or software may be required
1-3 years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving and technical knowledge of a companies' products and services
Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
Comfortable working in and assisting others through company help desk software, such as Salesforce in addition to other remote access desktop programs
Accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services
Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Linux
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients
Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications for a large company
Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Oracle OCI, Microsoft 365
Experience with Linux based Operating Systems
