Business Development Manager – Dubai, UAE

Position Summary:

Martin Professional is looking for an experienced, ambitious and driven Business Development Manager for the META region. This exciting new role is focused on the long term, building the Martin Professional Lighting brand within the META region. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationships with lighting designers, production staff and specifiers in the market place, think strategically and have passion for the industry. The ability to support an established team of sales professionals and distributors are essential competencies for this role. The right candidate will be someone excited by the challenge of taking this new role and making it their own, operating in a flexible environment, being proactive and working on their own initiative. All the while being backed by an ambitious company and dedicated existing EMEA team.

What You Will Do:

Sales

Responsible for driving revenue and building relationships with new & existing customers targeted end user accounts.
Make warm and cold calls to prospective customers to promote business
Visit potential customers, make presentations, identify key decision makers
Plan business growth, identify opportunities & pursue them to successful closure
Accurately forecast revenue from new and existing accounts
Update the CRM system on weekly basis with opportunities.
Attend on dealer events where presence of Harman is required.
Identify competitive products or threats in the market and address this to the EMEA Lighting team.
Assist in training customers on proper set up, use, and maintenance of Martin Lighting equipment.
To build and implement strategic initiatives with distribution and partners to drive agreed growth across the MEA region
Engage with marketing teams to co-ordinate annual, quarterly and monthly promotional and brand activities, events and training.
Conduct joint business planning with dealers and distributors to discuss and agree launch plans, pricing models and promotional support.
Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
Identify and target new partners across the region.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role will assume no direct reports.

What You Need:

Has a excellent understanding of the industry.
Has a thorough understanding and ‘hands on’ experience of Lighting equipment at a professional level.
Has proven sales experience within the industry.
Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Act as brand ambassador and drives market adoption

Ability to interface with technical teams and internal departments to ensure customer success.

Is self-aware when dealing with multiple cultures

Willingness to travel 60%+ of the time
