BIM Manager - Dubai

2Z Architectural Engineering Consultancies is currently looking for a BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager.
The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of BIM processes and technology within the organization. This role involves coordinating with various teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure effective utilization of BIM for project planning, design, construction, and operation phases. The BIM Manager will also lead the development and enforcement of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and quality across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement BIM execution plans (BEP) for projects, outlining BIM deliverables, workflows, and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM project requirements, standards, and protocols, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
• Provide BIM training and support to project teams to enhance BIM proficiency and adoption.
• Manage and maintain BIM software, tools, and libraries, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and efficiency.
• Lead the creation and management of BIM models, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration and clash detection using BIM software to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Implement BIM-based quantity takeoff and cost estimation processes to support project budgeting and scheduling.
• Facilitate the integration of BIM with other technologies such as VR/AR, GIS, and IoT for enhanced project visualization, analysis, and decision-making.
• Stay updated with emerging BIM trends, technologies, and standards, and evaluate their potential impact on organizational workflows and strategies.
• Collaborate with IT department to ensure BIM software compatibility, licensing, and infrastructure requirements are met.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and subcontractors to align BIM processes and deliverables with project requirements.
• Lead the development and documentation of BIM workflows, templates, and standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to BIM team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular quality audits of BIM deliverables to ensure compliance with established standards and project requirements.
• Participate in industry forums, conferences, and workshops to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to BIM implementation and management.
