Assistant Accountant Required in Dubai

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in reporting and compliance. The role requires hands-on experience with accounting entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and ERP systems.

Roles & Responsibilities
Record daily transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments)
Maintain general ledger and proper accounting entries
Follow up on client payments and collections
Perform bank and ledger reconciliations
Support VAT calculation and return filing (UAE compliance)
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Assist in month-end and year-end closing
Coordinate with auditors and support audit requirements
Work closely with internal teams for timesheets and billing
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Part-qualified ACCA or CA Inter (preferred)
3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
Good knowledge of accounting software / ERP systems
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
