Analyst- Data Security Monitoring Required in Dubai

Role : Analyst- Data Security Monitoring
Location : Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Cyber Defense Center, Data Security Monitoring analyst is responsible to Monitor and respond to the data protection alerts generated by Data Leakage Monitoring systems regularly.

Key Accountabilities of the role

Monitor and respond for the data protection alerts generated by DLP systems regularly
Triaging data protection incidents as well identify false positives and work to reduce the false positives
Support in assessing data protection exception requests and recommend appropriate actions as necessary
Support business units and provide guidance on data protection activities such as data identification and classification
Convert data protection rules into tool-specific technical policies, and update data protection technologies
Test the developed data protection rules, validate their effectiveness, and roll them out
Design, develop and implement relevant policies and use cases for data protection based current market trend
Execute data breach response when a data breach occurs as per the incident response policies and procedures and as per the manager’s guidance
Assist incident response team in data breach response activities
Assess implemented data protection controls effectiveness and compliance levels and propose mitigations and controls to address identified gaps
Continuously improve data security detection and audit capabilities across all business systems.
Write queries and scripts to pull data from internal systems, analytics tools and databases in an effort to scope security projects.
Work with internal teams to build and manage data security tools.
Support various stakeholders in internal data security investigations
Develop and Maintain Dashboards for data protection monitoring
Perform special access reviews for the business users

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

Knowledge of information security processes, Data Protection tools like DLP, Data Labelling etc.
Familiarity banking processes and modus operandi
Knowledge of ISO 27001, NESA, PCI DSS, SWIFT and other information security standards and regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or any related technical discipline
Professional certifications from ISACA,SANS/GIAC, CISSP or other relevant qualifications
A team player, resourceful, independent and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
5 years of data security, experience in information technology or information security data protection in leading banks or financial institutions with a focus on data security
Strong experience writing analytics queries and working within analytics tools
Proven experience managing and working with log analysis and data loss prevention tools at scale
Experience building role-based permission models in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to influence outcomes and drive results across engineering and non-engineering teams
Strong track record of creating processes that scale.
Strong knowledge of banking processes and modus operandi
