Accounts Receivable Specialist - Dubai

Ad Populum, a powerhouse in entertainment and consumer product industries with a portfolio of iconic brands like NECA, Chia Pet, Kidrobot, Enesco, and Rubies Costumes, is currently hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the finance team at NECA, LLC, a leader in collectible merchandise.
As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our receivables processes, collaborating closely with the Controller and other departments across the company.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Reconcile customer payments (including cash receipts, wire, ACH, or check) and ensure correct recording in the accounting system
• Maintain accurate AR records—keep aging reports current, resolve discrepancies, and apply payments/credits accordingly
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on overdue invoices
• Provide clients with account statements and invoices when requested
• Support enhancements in AR procedures and identify process improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with the AP team to help maintain vendor payment records, resolve discrepancies, and verify invoices for proper authorization
• Assist in preparing reports, financial documentation, and data requests for audits
• Participate in ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the Controller and accounting leadership
• Take on additional duties and special projects as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in an accounts receivable function
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
• A proactive mindset with a desire to take initiative on new tasks and ongoing projects
