Accounts Manager - Dubai

We’re Hiring: Accounts Manager – Fujairah National Group
Fujairah National Group is looking for an experienced Accounts Manager with strong foundations in real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will manage project-focused accounting activities, own month-end reporting, and lead a small finance team. Hands-on exposure to construction accounting and revenue recognition for project contracts will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Project & Contract Accounting: Oversee project-based accounting, job costing, progress billing, retention management, and contract revenue recognition.
▪ Financial Reporting & Close: Lead month-end and year-end close activities, prepare management accounts, cash flow analysis, and variance explanations.
▪ Controls & Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, and support external audits.
▪ Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, review reconciliations, and ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
▪ Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and external advisors (auditors/tax consultants) to ensure timely financial information and reconciliations.
▪ Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best-practice procedures and systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; Master’s or advanced studies are advantageous.
▪ Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
▪ 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
▪ Demonstrable knowledge of real estate and construction accounting principles and revenue recognition practices.
▪ Strong competency with accounting systems/ERPs and advanced Excel skills.
▪ Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
