Accountant Required in Dubai

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Finance team.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting function, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, audit requirements, and month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the General Ledger and support monthly and annual closing processes
Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Receivables and Payables
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals and depreciation
Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and prepare variance reports
Manage and control the payment process in accordance with Group Finance Policies and Procedures
Perform monthly supplier account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Manage Accounts Receivable and prepare monthly reconciliations
Monitor daily bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Verify and record petty cash expenses
Prepare and record monthly provisions, accruals and prepayments
Maintain accurate records relating to tax payables and receivables and support timely regulatory submissions
Coordinate with internal and External Auditors and prepare required schedules and supporting documents
Support Senior Management in the preparation of the Annual Budget
Undertake additional finance-related assignments as delegated by the Finance Manager

Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Relevant experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting within the healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and reconciliation
Good knowledge of VAT and applicable accounting regulations
Experience supporting month-end/year-end closing and audit
Strong Excel and ERP/accounting system skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
