The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources Department function and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. To maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. Caters for the HR requirements needed to achieve commercial targets and maintain sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists the CEO in defining the HR business plans and processes for human resources strategic direction ; supports the implementation of new initiatives, projects, enhancements, policies, and operating procedures in consultation with the CEO .
Leads & manages the implementation of the respective HR plans and daily operations including process mapping, talent acquisition, retention, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, health and welfare benefits, payroll process and HR systems Implementation. Ensures operations are run smoothly and in line with company’s policies in a cost-effective manner.
Monitors HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local legal requirements pertaining to personnel and contractual matters by continuously studying existing and new legislations and enforcing adherence to requirements through all HR practices.
Responsible for manpower forecast budget and cost estimates as per set-objectives ensuring efficiency and provision of right resources in line with business needs. Constantly monitors and measures manpower utilization and expenditure in accordance with adopted practices and agreed parameters; analyzes results and prepares necessary reports for CEO and highlight status; initiates and implements corrective actions to minimize the impact of variances when needed.
Consults with legal counsel on matters and disputes related to personnel issues, employee grievances and disciplinary actions; advises CEO and Line Managers on needed actions as appropriate.
Supports and guides the Line Managers on the annual performance Management process and ensures Objective settings and periodical performance assessments are implemented effectively.
Maintains effective relationships with Government Authorities and HR related networks and organizations to facilitate daily operations and HR related administrative matters.
Ensures all Staff related services, systems, changes, and new initiatives are brought in along with robust HR process whilst balancing the company’s interests and Line departments’ requirements with equal priority.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or Sciences/ Management/Administration or equivalent from a recognized university; MBA or Master's degree with Specialization HRM or related area is preferred.
HR Professional qualifications / certificates such as CIPD, SHRP, etc. is preferred
12+ years of comprehensive working experience in Human Resources in any service industry preferably in Leisure & Travel Industry , out of which a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role leading the HR Department or HR Operations is a must.
Knowledge on GCC country’s labour laws and government regulations pertaining to employment is a must; candidates with GCC experience are preferred.
Exposure on the various HR functions and their corresponding processes is a pre-requisite.
Skilled in designing HR policies and procedures in line with business needs, adopted standards, as well as regulatory and statutory requirements
Cost-oriented, possesses effective influential, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
